Anyone who has ever watched Oprah knows about the power of positive thinking and how positive thinking affirmations can transform you. All the latest books and talk shows have been talking about it and somehow we always hear it wherever we are. Positive thinking can change your world, your life and you yourself. Positive thinking holds even more promises and the people who believe in its power make it all the more alluring and tempting. It is the answer to so many questions and mysteries. It is the secret to happiness and the easiest way to succeed in life while still having time to smell the roses along your path to your goals.
Write these beliefs down in the form of statements resembling positive attitude strategies traditional affirmations such as I am consistently taking appropriate actions that are aimed at improving myself daily”.
Don’t you know that somebody wants to be like you, I mean because you have other attributes that cause others to admire you? You don’t have to think as if you’re on other’s shoe, cause you may not know it but others might want to be on your shoe as well.
Ever thought “Wow” That person laughed at my joke, or smiled at me, or said good morning and I don’t even like them. More times than not it is because you really don’t like yourself. Know that “Others see you differently to the way you see yourself”. Know that you are bigger and better than you ever believed yourself to be. This is not being arrogant. This is loving who you are! Fake it if you have to. Remember it takes 30 days to break a habit. Fake it till it becomes second nature.
You may not always feel like doing the necessary action steps. If you desire to be healthy, for instance, you may not always feel like working out regularly. Well guess what, the successful people ‘out there’ don’t always feel like doing these things either. They just don’t let this stop them. They go ahead and do the right thing anyway, keeping their focus on their target.
I could have said just ‘action’, but then I realized that if you’re doing the wrong thing, it won’t get you the results you’re after. That’s why I’ve qualified the type of action in question with the word ‘appropriate’.
Whatever you want to do, know that you can do it and do it now. Don’t worry about what anyone else will think. It’s your life after all, and trying out new things is part of what makes life exciting and interesting. Sure you’ll make mistakes along the way but it’s all part of the learning experience.
